What is ArtLive?

ArtLive is an independent online TV channel, that reflects the artistic side of life through broadcasting art events LIVE on the internet for free. It’s a passion project with one main goal - to make festivals and other cultural events, taking place in Bulgaria, accessible to more people across the world, no matter what their location or financial status is. We pay special attention to club culture, jazz music and alternative theatre.

Meet the creators

Vassil
Karkelanov
Founder
and producer

The name Vassil Karkelanov is well-known in Bulgaria where he is famous as photographer and a cinematographer. He’s shot more than 130 photo sessions for PLAYBOY magazine and created some of the brightest TV and print commercial concepts. Vassil is also known as a producer and movie director of documentaries and other art productions and has worked with some of the greatest and most successful Bulgarian singers and musicians.

An actress by education and by soul, through the years Marta mixes the time on stage with significant experience in media. As a journalist, who loves their job, she knows what it’s like to get up at 4 AM and wake people up with a smile on the radio. She was also an editor in a magazine and along with the time in front of the camera she gets a master’s degree in mass communication.
